Disclosure

I've been looking at the music group Disclosure a lot recently because of the art in their videos and album covers. The work shows peoples faces being covered up and replaced with white, drawn on faces. this seems to give it a strange, eary feel which i quite enjoy. I might try doing this to some of my own images.
It is possible to do it to your own images by using the App on the artists facebook page. I'll give y'all a link so you can try it out.

Tapies

At my recent Derby Interview, a lecturer gave me some artists to look at that she thought would help with my work. One of the artists was named Tapies, who was a spanish painter who worked in the Taschisme style, a type of abstract painting.

After looking at his work ive been thinking of doing some prints and costume designs using paints and inks to try and recreate some of the work he has done.

As you can see im overly happy about this. I really think derby will be a good uni for me, it can cater to exactly what i want which is great!

Can't be happier right now.
