Tom Rakewell: This design is showing that tom is carrying the weight of the entire city on his shoulders, because everyone wants a peice of him and his cash. I did both male and female versions of this outfit because i was unsure if i wanted to twist it so tom was a woman or not, but i think im going to keep him as a man.
Tom Rakewell: This deisng of tom was supposed to show how large his ego was, depicted by the oversized bowtie and buttons. I think it was an ideal thing to get in that he had a large ego and thought highly of himself, because that was one of his downfalls.
Sarah's designs were supposed to look like a scantly clad view of nature, and it shows how vunerable the character can be.
Sarahs father is supposed to be adoning the symbol of the rising sun, this was to show more that sarah's father is a foreign body in the story, and the reader/viewer does not see that much of him.
Bedlam patient. This character was supposed too look wacky and scary, so i dressed him as a clown type character because so many people dislike clowns. spots are usually the correct attire for clowns, and personally i think the big boots give him a more edgy, uneasy feel.
